2. If Dealmaster Pro does not run (only a window quickly appears), try deleting the file SETUP.DBF in the C:\DMPRO folder

3. If you get a window completely out of shape when you start Dealmaster Pro, it is probably because the font FOXFONT did not get installed when Dealmaster Pro setup was run. This usually occurs on computers with a very large number of fonts installed. Therefore, delete some fonts and install FOXFONT ... this may be found in the C:\DMPRO directory (or where DM Pro is installed).

4. WINDOWS NT: If you are installing under Windows NT: we have discovered that a special procedure is required. Since you do not have that procedure, you can use the following to complete the installation:

You will get an error message when the Setup program tries to copy each of the about 85 files from the CD to your hard drive. Respond ignore to the message for each of the files for which you get an error message. At the end, you will get a message "Installation Complete". Exit the installation routine and use standard Windows techniques to copy all the files on the CD into the C:\DMPRO directory (or elsewhere if you elected to install Dealmaster Pro in a folder other than C:\DMPRO).

LAST STEP: you must remove the Read Only attribute from all the files in C:\DMPRO. Use standard Windows techniques to do this. The Attrributes of a file may be found by clicking on Properties.

If you are reinstalling Dealmaster on a new computer: for new fast computers, you must have version 3.5 or higher for the program to operate properly. This is available as a free download from our web site:

You may also use this procedure if you are reinstalling on an old computer

Here are the detail steps:

1. Install from your original diskettes. (DO NOT execute Dealmaster until after step 3.)

2. Go to the web site and download the TWO FILES indicated. Each of the two is a self-extracting file. There are instructions on the Download page about how to process the two files.

3. Execute each of the two files you download according to the instructions on the Download page. BE SURE that the files are extracted to the C:\DEALMAST directory.

4. Start Dealmaster. You can use the following Validation Password: QPPL (valid until 12-23-00)

If you get an error message indicating that file "SCRCOLOR.MEM" is missing: see below to "Download Missing Files". The file downloaded is a self extracting file. Follow these directions:

1. When you start the download, specify that the file to be downloaded should go in C:\DEALMAST

2. When download is complete, select START .... RUN.

3. At the "Open" box: enter C:\DEALMAST\SCRCOLOR.EXE

4. Select SELF EXTRACT ... EXTRACT FILES ... EXECUTE

(NOTE: If Dealmaster is not in C:\DEALMAST, substitute the Path/Directory where it is for C:\DEALMAST)

If you have tried reinstalling and seem to be all mixed up, do the following:

1. Delete ALL the files in the C:\DEALMAST directory. Do NOT just uninstall ... be sure all the files are deleted from C:\DEALMAST

2. Delete the Shortcut, if any, to Dealmaster.

3. Reinstall according to the above instructions.
